With more than 30 years of experience in the high technology industry, Jim has built a successful track record as a senior executive who effectively combines big picture thinking with the knowledge of the internal workings of an organization. Incisive decision-making mixed with collaborative management skills are critical to his ability to marshal an organization’s resources to align with on-going change events that affect the customer life cycle and create significant value for the company’s stakeholders.
Jim served as CEO of Whodini, where he successfully executed its pivot into a technology that enables the bridging of traditional business applications with today’s high value collaboration systems. The company's subsequent sale to Declara is evidence of identifying the right market to pursue.
As vice president of operations at Centrify Corporation and then later at MokaFive, Jim spearheaded the development of successful operational structures and processes. He built strong, effective sales teams and created change initiatives that yielded a continued growth of customers and revenues, positively impacting global presence and the bottom line for both organizations.
Prior to this, Jim spent 12 years as an executive at Legato, Inc. During his tenure with Legato, Jim was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, business development, sales and sales operations, product marketing and management and business operations. His strategic endeavors helped the company grow from a start-up, through a successful public offering and into a key player in the storage management marketplace. Jim led the integration team through the $1.3 billion acquisition by EMC Corporation.
Jim is a founding member of the Enterprise Device Alliance and currently sits on the board of directors for La Rinconada Country Club and on the Cal Poly Industry Advisory Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo, California.
